Organizational structure

The St. Petersburg Initiative was brought forward at the Baltic Sea Forum, held in St. Petersburg on April 5–7, 2013, and received the approval of the participants, the heads of government of the Baltic Region countries. The Forum was organized by the Government of the Russian Federation within the framework of the Year of the Environment in Russia and in the context of Russia's presidency in the CBSS in 2012-2013 for the preservation and rehabilitation of the Baltic Sea.
